We learned how to use Logic and Intuition with an Aim Game of Billiards.

The left brain is LOGIC. Mostly concerned with LOGISTICS. Words, thinking in words, linear thinking, digits, symbols, processing, analytics, and order. AKA the digital brain, it is tasked with reading, writing, sequencing, mathematics, facts and computations.

The right brain is INTUITION. Mostly analogical, meaning it is about matters of proportion. A type of honesty regulator.

An analogy is a comparison — either a metaphor or a simile — that helps to clarify an explanation. EX., “You are quiet as a mouse” or “My brother was a pig at dinner” are analogies. The Greek root is analogos, “proportionate.”

When the left and right brains are in agreement it causes ‘cognitive harmony’. Non-agreements cause ‘cognitive dissonance’. The right brain considers the following: fairness, love, consideration and regard toward others, intuition, imagination, holistic thinking, nonverbal cues, creative visualizing, spiritual understanding.

Your ‘twin’ brains are always in collaboration regardless of harmony or dissonance. Whether you perform a logical or creative function, you receive input from both sides of your brain. For example, people credit the left brain with language, but the right brain helps you understand context and tone. The left brain handles mathematical equations, but the right brain helps out with comparisons and rough estimates.

Brain Health

Want to keep a healthy, active and progressing brain? Challenge yourself! Face tough proposals. make a decision! Spend some time each day reading, writing, or both. Stay in zest for expanding your KB. Take a course, watch a lecture, try a new skill. Complete challenging puzzles and riddles. Play memory games, board games, card games. Try a new hobby that requires brain usage/focus, learn. Pick up a new language or a musical instrument. Challenge yourself!

Sleep is the best way to recharge and for your brain to maximize the effectiveness of neurons communicating with each other. Sleep will remove toxins that build up when you’re active and awake. Proper rest and sleep keep your memory in a top and reliable state.

Aerobic exercise makes changes in your body, it “positively influences” episodic memory losses among adults 55 years and older.

Nutrition plays a key role to help keep both sides of your brain in tip-top shape. Try to eat a nutrient-dense diet that includes alkaline forming foods.

Can you “become” more creative?

  • Read about and listen to the creative ideas of others.
  • Try something new. Take up a creative hobby
  • Look within. There is an entire world inside you.
  • Do not stagnate. Keep it fresh. Break your set patterns and go outside your comfort zone.
  • New idea? Write them down!
  • Brainstorm issues. Find multiple ways to get to a solution.
  • Do simple chores with the TV off. Allow your mind to wander to new places. Use that time to ‘explore’ yourself.
  • Set your schedule to include time for rest, relaxation and laughing!

Sounds have major influence on our feelings and behavior/actions. Much more proportionately than symbols, letters, numbers and words.
